History

History of Endeavour International Corporation

Endeavour was created in early 2004 as an independent exploration company with a major focus on finding and producing new sources
of energy in the North Sea. Since its inception, the company has recorded a drilling success rate significantly higher than the average industry rate.

One of the company's first acquisitions was the purchase of OER Oil AS in Norway from which it established a producing and exploratory presence in the Norwegian Continental Shelf. In 2009, the company sold these assets for USD$150 million, a sum equivalent to the total market capitalization of the company.

Endeavour is now focused on moving forward with three field developments in the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea. Successful appraisal drilling dramatically increased the overall potential of these discoveries. The company also launched an onshore drilling program in the United States. This initiative reflects its shift in strategy to pursue opportunities with shorter cycle times and lower costs that complement its North Sea assets.
