James J. Emme is executive vice president, North America, with responsibility for the company’s expanding asset base and activities in the United States. He is based in Denver, Colorado where the company is establishing a technical and commercial presence focused on its portfolio of domestic resource plays.

With 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Emme has an extensive background in unconventional hydrocarbon exploration and development. He spent more than 20 years with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation where he served as worldwide vice president of exploration and business development and headed the company’s Canadian operations. Prior to joining Endeavour, Emme served as senior vice president of exploration for Max Petroleum and was president and chief operating officer for Elk Resources.

Emme began his career with Arco Oil and Gas Company. He holds a master degree in geology from Colorado School and Mines and a bachelor degree in geology from the University of California at Davis.
