On course with HSE

At the foundation of our North Sea-focused strategy is our ongoing commitment to adhere to the highest standards in the area of health, safety and environmental performance. Conducting oil and gas operations with respect and care for people and preserving and protecting our surroundings is a basic principle of our company.

In 2007 Endeavour became a production operator and a partner in production activities for six areas in the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea. The Rubie and Renee fields on Blocks 15/27 and 15/28 in the Central North Sea are subsea developments connected to a floating production unit, AH001.

During the year the company served as operator for the drilling and testing operations for two exploratory wells. Over a period of almost five months, both wells were drilled with no lost-time accidents or environmental incidences recorded. Endeavour continues to demonstrate its capabilities as a safe, effective and efficient operator – only four years after it was first approved for the role in the United Kingdom sector in the North Sea.

The company takes an active role in the oversight of HSE operations on its non-operated properties in the United Kingdom and Norwegian sectors of the North Sea. In 2007, all oil and gas was produced from these non-operated assets in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner, meeting all of the regulatory guidelines set by the United Kingdom and Norwegian governing authorities.
