History of Endeavour International Corporation

Endeavour was created in early 2004 as an independent exploration company with a major focus on finding and developing new sources of energy in the North Sea.

The company's founders, William L. Transier and John N. Seitz, believed there was significant energy resources left untapped in the North Sea and successfully negotiated for the use of a new comprehensive 3-D seismic database that allows geoscientists to identify overlooked or new oil and gas prospects.

Endeavour International Corporation (AMEX: END) was officially born on February 26, 2004 with the merger of Continental Southern Resources, Inc. and North Sea New Ventures Inc. (NSNV), the privately-held company the two partners originally formed to launch their exploration strategy.

Endeavour now owns interests in 10 oil and gas fields and holds a large exploration portfolio in the United Kingdom and Norway. In 2006, Transier was named chairman, chief executive officer and president of the company and Seitz assumed responsibilities as vice chairman.
